Happy Father's Day!!
Anna, Travis, and Eston
I am lucky to have a great husband and father to my kids. The past four years as parents have been so much fun. I'm looking forward to what the future brings, Travis!
I also want to take some time to recognize my dad on Father's Day. He passed away on May 6th. He really loved me and my brother and always wanted the best for us.
One of my earliest memories is sitting on the red couch on Sunday mornings and he would read the comics to my brother and I. I remember Peanuts the most. I have lots of memories of us going to the lake on our boat. We always had a boat and my dad always teased me about getting in the water when it was cold. I could never jump right in. My dad loved cars and especially Mustangs.

I remember riding around in his convertable Mustang when I was little. It was so cool to have the top down. My mom still has one, and Travis and I hope to one day to finish restoring it. We also have grand visions of getting my dad's '63 Ford pickup up and going. It was my great great grandfather's. And my dad then drove it for years. And who knows, maybe I'll learn to drive it. (A three speed. That would make him happy. I never learned to drive a standard. Despite many lessons from Sammie and Travis. I just don't see the point of making something more difficult than it needs to be!)

He said it was raising two terrific kids, who were successful, smart, and well behaved. (I may be paraphrasing...it was something to that effect! My brother and I were the best kids ever! ;-) )

The thing I hate the most is that my kids never got the chance to play with him. I know that if he was here, he'd be out playing t-ball with Eston and at every soccer game. Anna would have him wrapped around her finger and her every wish would be granted.

We also took him to see Monster Trucks. That was a hoot too.
He's got his ear plugs in.
Eston had his 4th birthday! We has a party at our house, and also took him to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate. His friend Stratton took the trip with us, and we met his teachers, Ms. Lo and Ms. Brandi there with Dominic and Jordan.
Too bad Eston has his eyes closed in this picture. Anna loves being around her big brother. Although she is a little mean to him. She pulls his hair and hits him and just laughs!
