Bath time for Anna. Travis took a bird's eye pic of Anna in the bath tub. Eston is helping me rinse her.
Eating just wears me out!

Eston is not a good sleeper. Never has been, and probably never will. He definitely did not get that trait from me. I love to sleep. I love to go to bed early, and I'd take a nap every day if you'd let me. I am very particular in that I have to have the right amount of white noise, and covers have to be tucked right under my chin. I am particular about my pillow too. It is not uncommon for Travis to get up at night, watch tv, have a snack, surf the web, and I don't even know he's gone. One night, he even left the house in the middle of the night and went to McDonald's! I had no clue! Eston takes after him. He has never been a good napper, and we fight him to go to sleep every night. Anna slept through the night at around 2 months. She has been a pretty good sleeper. However, Miss Diana is telling me that lately her naps are not so great. We'll see if she takes after me or the Fords on that one.

We have had a snowy winter! I think it's snowed 4 or 5 times this winter so far. The last time dumped 10-11 inches on us. Northwest Arkansas got 2 feet! Here is a picture of our house in the snow.
Me and Eston playing in the snow. Lyla is the dog in the picture. Travis's dad passed away Dec. 24, 2010. Lyla and two other dogs lived at his house. We kept Lyla, a Weimaraner, at our house for the past couple of months. She has since found a new home. Boy did she run fast.
Travis and Eston.

Eston went sledding for the first time at Stratton's house during this last snow. They enjoyed going down their sloped driveway. Travis and I even went down it also. Fun!
I have many good sledding memories on the hills of Kingsberry, my neighborhood growing up. Stratton's mom and I and the other neighborhood kids would sled for hours when we were young.
Anna, unfortunately, did not make any snow appearances. Maybe next year.

Anna is now sitting on her own. She topples over easily, but does pretty good sitting and playing with a toy for a while. She is rolling all over the place, and twists and turns, and pushes up on her hands while on her stomach, that I would think crawling is in her near future. She is also getting very verbal. She's muttering an "ama" sound, but I'm not convinced it is directed toward me. She has two bottom teeth. Here are some pictures Miss Lilly took of her at school. She sat up in her crib one day and started playing. Miss Lilly has taken some of the best snapshots of my kids. (Anna 7 1/2 months - 20 lbs.)

Here are Eston and Anna playing together on the floor at Mimi's house. They love to go over there after school and play.
When I get ready in the morning, I usually put Anna in her play saucer thingy that she stands in and has activities all around her in a circle. She loves it. She was in the living room with Eston watching Dora on tv. I come out of the bedroom, and Anna is still in the saucer, but in the corner in the kitchen. I asked Eston how she got there. He drug her, saucer and all, into the kitchen away from her because she was making too much noise and he couldn't hear Dora. I told him not to do that again and to let Anna watch Dora with him. He walks off and says, "that is rediculous." I couldn't help but laugh at the little brat and his choice of a big word. I'm wondering if this is a foreshadowing of many other times he will want to get Anna out of the picture.
I hope I tell this next one correctly, since it happened at school. Miss Lilly was bringing out a plate of cornbread from the kitchen to serve the kids at lunch. There is a boy who is allergic to eggs, so when she handed the plate to Miss Lo, she made the comment that there are eggs in the cornbread. Eston gets his piece, takes a bite, studies it, looks it over some more, and states, "there are no eggs in here." Not sure if he was looking for a whole egg in a shell or maybe some scrambled egg?

Cooper's Birthday!!
Here are some pictures from last weekend. We attended our "cousin in law's" birthday (as we like to call him). Cooper is my brother's nephew. Whitney's brother's son. Anyway, it was a very fun party at Boingo Bounce. The kids dressed up as superheros. Eston borrowed a Batman costume from Cooper. Doesn't this look like fun?
Eston "aka Batman" sliding.
Wheeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Anna and Travis watching all the fun. Maybe next year Anna.
Aunt Whitney holding Anna. Bret, Whitney's brother, Cooper's dad, in the background.
Anna is now 7 months old and has two bottom teeth. She loves to eat baby food and often smacks her lips together when she watches us eat. Gimmee some real food! She is rolling around all over the floor. Still loves being in her activity saucer. She is starting to wear 12 month clothes. The other day, Eston was play fighting and quarreling with Mimi. Anna got really upset and started "talking" and telling them off. If she could talk, I think one of them would have gotten a good cursing. She was yelling at one of them to stop, and clearly thought the other was being mean. Now, I'm not sure if she was protecting her brother or her Mimi. However, she always shows quite the joyous reaction when she sees her Mimi. Arms waving, feet kicking and lots of coos.
