Here's Eston walking Zoe. He wants to do grown up things all the time. He watches us and mimics us. Makes Zoe a little nervous when he has the reins. He can't say Zoe real well, so he calls her Zuza. Alli is Aahi with no L's.
It is so cold! I need to replace my wallpaper on this blog with sunshine and warm thoughts instead of these snowflakes. Where are you summer?

Eston got this dump truck from his Aunt Whitney and Uncle Corey for Christmas. Instead of putting toys in it to haul, he thinks he's the cargo. This kid is all boy. He climbs and stands on everything. He's getting really daring and has no idea of the consequences. Luckily we have been there to catch him most of the time, but there have been several bumps and bruises on his forehead! Hopefully not, but I'm afraid we'll see stitches and broken bones in his future. But on the positive side, he loves to explore and play. That's a great thing. I can already see his little mind working when he's concentrating on how to take something apart. And usually he suceeds! He's also helping out alot around the house. I know this phase won't last that he thinks it's fun to do chores! He loves to unload the dishwasher. Even when we are loading it, he pulls out items. It's hard to keep his little hands out. He knows exactly where everything goes, and will put spatulas away in a drawer that he can barely reach and can't see in....all by himself without me telling him anything. Here's a picture of him "swiffering" at my mom's house. He loves the swiffer and goes and gets it every time we go over there. I know he didn't get that from me!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! Eston got to see Travis's mom and stepdad, his G'ma and G'pa at Christmas. That was great! We actually got to see her twice this month, a rarety considering she lives in Wisconsin right outside of Minneapolis. I wasn't sure if he was old enough to get Christmas yet and if he would open gifts. I was wrong, he opened each and everyone of them himself and really enjoyed it. Uncle Corey and Aunt Whitney gave him a pair of tennis shoes to open first. Whitney made the comment that she thought that would be a boring present for him to open...not so. He smiled so big and wanted to put them on immediately. He played with each toy before going to the next. It really made Christmas fun.

Eston spent the night with my mom on New Year's Eve. Travis and I went to Lance and Kerri Gross' house for a party. We spent all night playing Rock Band. It was my first exposure and I never really got what the fuss was before. Now, Travis and I are fans. I was the worst one in the crowd but I tried really hard to play bass guitar! They had the whole setup...microphone and drums. And at midnight, we didn't do a countdown or anything to welcome the new year because Travis was singing a Bad Company song at the time!

If you don't already, go to Natalie Smith Berry's blog and read about her daughter's wrestling match with Elmo. Cracked me up! Our house has also been overtaken my "Memo." Eston got several Elmo movies and constantly points out the "Memo" picture on his diaper. Speaking of Sesame Streeters, Eston hates Bert. Every time he sees him in a book, he tells him off in baby talk. It's probably a good thing I don't know what he's saying, because I'm afraid there may be some cussing involved. Eston even tore his head out of one of his books, and walked into the kitchen and threw Bert away in the trash! Travis and I can only conclude that Eston doesn't like his unibrow??!! Bert is the cranky one between he and Ernie. I guess Eston doesn't like his attitude?

Here's Eston's impersonation of Nick Nolte. Hee hee!
