I have no new pictures to post...sorry...(Lori!), but I thought I'd check in and write about the past 3 weeks. Chaos. That sums it up. A newborn, moving, and running an office. Chaos.

Anna has been great. She had a little cold her first week or so that kept her from lying flat, so she's been sleeping in her car seat carrier. She loves it, as did Eston. She's still sleeping in it. She's had some good nights and some bad nights. I'm pretty exhausted. The first week, it hurt alot to walk, but by the end of week two, I was bending over to pick stuff up off the floor and driving. Travis threw me straight back into work as soon as I hit two weeks....what a slave driver I have for a boss. No wait, I'm the boss. Just kidding....about the slave driver part. Not kidding that I'm boss. ;-) Anyway, I started back a few hours a day, and Anna comes with me. She sleeps really well in the mornings, so it's easy to get some things done. She goes with me to the courthouse to file and check the mail. The clerks love her.

Eston has done really well through this shake up in his life. Around the end of week one, Travis was holding Anna. Eston wanted his dad to do something. He asked me what Travis was doing. I told him that he was holding Anna. Eston said, "Tell daddy to put her back in your tummy." He has been a huge help fetching things for me. And he has been a little more whiny, and wanting more attention. But overall, he has been very good. And on top of that, we uproot the child and move.

Yes, we finally spent last night in our new house! We have most things moved, but still need to spend the weekend unpacking. Lots of unpacking. So, as exhausted as we are from a newborn, we are even more exhausted moving and up on our feet unpacking.

11 or 12 years ago (I can't remember if we were dating or engaged) Travis told me that life with him would not be boring. Man, was he right! I tease him periodically, that a little bit of boring every once in awhile would be nice!

More Pictures.....
One of me where I actually have makeup on and don't look like death! I got my staples out yesterday when this pic was taken and it made a difference! Feel much better after a week. Eston is sharing his cars with Anna. He gave her one of them, and likes it if we keep it near her. I'm so glad he's sharing.....we'll see if it lasts! Forgot to post in the earlier one, that she was 8 lbs, 8.4 oz, 20.5 inches. We had her one week doctor appt yesterday, and she weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz. So, she's pretty much back up to her birth weight.

Found this picture and thought it was sweet. Eston was feeling Anna kick. She was very active. I was constantly feeling a foot stick out and move around. You could see my belly move if you were a couple of feet away.

Happy Birthday Anna!
We went in to the hospital at 6 am on Thursday, July 1st. I was extremely nervous. After some prep, they wheeled me into the OR. I really freaked when I saw the bright OR lights and the cold temp. After my epidural was in they let Travis in. He was in scrubs. Soon after Dr. Lawrence walked in and we began. The process was really quick. Started at 9 am, and she was born at 9:01. The nurses yelled for Travis to stand up and look over their makeshift curtain at the baby. He did, and saw more than just the baby! Needless to say, I don't think Travis inherited his father's love for being a surgeon. He sat back down and put his head down. Dr. Lawrence later teased him for overhearing me ask Travis if HE was going to be okay, when I was the one with my guts open! I was in a bit of pain as they were working, and I wouldn't let Travis let go of by hand and leave with Anna. They sewed me up, and by 9:30, I was wheeled off to recovery. Oh, and even though we were scheduled to have Anna by C-section, she was going to be born that day. My water didn't break, but started leaking that morning. I was dialated to a 6, and had started some contractions that didn't hurt. Funny how that worked out. 37 weeks and 6 days.

Here is the proud big brother.
